Extra care is needed with all Vermeil pieces as the plating is, by nature, delicate. Chemicals in perfumes, moisturisers and tanning products can cause gold plated jewellery to tarnish. Chlorine, salt water and even perspiration can cause discoloration, so remove before you shower, bathe, swim and go to the gym. Jewellery cleaners are not recommended, instead gently buff with a dry lint free cloth. Storing jewellery in an airtight container helps to maintain its pristine condition. Small ziplock bags are a perfect storage solution. Remember to close the clasp of necklaces before storing to prevent tangles.
